For viewers of Accra-based Adom TV, the experience gets even better starting this Sunday, with the premiere of “Chop Time”, an exciting new cooking show compered by beloved broadcaster and longtime Multimedia face, Afia Amankwah Tamakloe —host of Nkwa Hia on Adom TV, Adom Kasee on Adom FM, as well as Nyinsen Ne Awo.
Curated to spark instant connection, as well as warm nostalgia between viewers and Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, it also aims at facilitating the preservation of tradition for posterity.
Showing at 11: 30 am every Sunday, “Chop Time” arrives as a remarkable addition to the Multimedia channel’s already sterling lineup, and will have as its very first guest, Rebecca Asamoah (Miss United Nations 2017). Hailing from the Upper East Region, she was also 2015 Miss Ghana winner, and 2nd runner-up at the 2016 Miss Africa Continent pageant held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ambitious and effervicent, Ms. Asamoah finally puts to bed, erroneous claims that “queens can’t cook.”
Widely anticipated, “Chop Time” parades personalities across a wide spectrum of society —the CEO, the religious leader, and the yoghurt seller alike. Producers are confident that it will provide a rich new perspective via which conversations surrounding our culture and heritage can be explored. They’re also optimistic that, like other programmes previously rolled out on TV channels as Adom TV, “Chop Time” –because of its underlining vision –will swiftly become the reference point for all cooking shows in the country.
Put together by Media Fit Solutions , “Chop Time” is sponsored by Pepsi (Only 1 Cedi).
